What is the Friendship Force?
The Friendship Force is an international, non profit organization founded in 1977 to promote friendship, goodwill and understanding amongst people through travel to many countries in the world.
In each country clubs are formed and friendships established through visits and home-stay with members of other clubs for up to one week.
Friendship Force thereby offers its members unique ways to visit foreign countries, meet the local people and experience their lifestyle and customs.
There are over 300 clubs worldwide in more than 60 countries.
Since Friendship Force was founded by Wayne Smith and President Jimmy Carter
in 1977 there have been over 600,000 visits.
